47 1 ton Brake Drums

Do I need a drum puller to get the brake drums off? If so, is it something that is readily available? Thanks

I just removed mine on my 47. What is your bolt pattern? Mine was 5x6.5" and all I had to do was hit them with a hammer and they came right off.

You may or may not. It really depends on how long they have been on. On one of my '46 P/Us I had to use a puller, they were froze up after sitting after 6 years, even though I had replaced the whole set up just prior to that. I got my puller from a local tool shop. It's a 3 arm puller, with a screw in the center, put arms on the drum edges, set the screw in the center of the spindle end, and crank it down, it just pops them off. Really just depends on how stuck they are.
