ok before anybody gets on to me about this i am not an FTE supporter so i cant search.
what is involved in an auto to manuel swap. i know you have to have the wiring harness, steering column, pedal assembly, shifter, tranny, driveshaft. and im not sure what else but could somebody steer me to either a previous post or a writeup about it.
Never done it good buddy, nor have I known anyone who did.
However, a few months ago I remember seeing a thread in which this topic was discussed. I am not a supporter either (i'm a tight wad, still trying to work myself up to spending the money) so I cant search for it for you.
Anyway, I remember the guys saying that because of the conversion needed, the wiring, etc...that making the conversion very expensive and time-consuming, basically saying you'd be better off selling your auto and buying a manual.
Brian's Truck Shop has an article about changing it around the other direction. They might be a good source of parts, including steering columns and wiring harnesses, too.
It's wise to become a Supporter, too, but since you aren't, just Google Brian's.
I'll give you a head-start, however:

I'm probably being Mr. Obvious here, but of course you are going to need the flywheel, clutch and clutch master/slave cylinders, transfer case, the fuseblock along with wiring harness, and ecm/pcm computer.
