Does anyone know of an effective way to get rid of water spots on my F-250's windows? The windshield, door windows, and back glass all have those pesky water spots that won't budge with glass cleaner. I'd imagine there's some good "home remedy" for getting my glass close to new condition. Thanks
An old "trick" used by used car dealers is to clean all of the glass using a razor blade. Then if you still see spots they are more than likely inside the glass and cant be removed.
The razor blade trick work for really bad stuff but wont get it all. Eastwood sells a glass polishing kit to use on your drill that work pretty well. Still takes time but much easier on the arms.
Try some vinegar, get a small spray bottle or soak a paper towel and put it on heavy to the glass and wipe it dry with a strong paper towel. Windex wont cut it? Try the vinegar, we use it on the windshields we get from overseas. It work well for us.
Just get yourself a claybar and some detailer spray. Any self respecting DIY auto detailer wouldn't go with out it. I had a water trail on my newly purchased 05 navigator backglass. Some elbow grease and viola gone! I have heard of the steel wool and bon ami thing, but if you look on the can it says not for use on glass.
