Oil Consumption

First time to post here. I have a 2000 F-250 SD with the 5.4 motor. It has 107,000 gentle miles. I started using Mobil 1 at about 60,000 miles and have recently noticed I'm using a couple of quarts every 4000 to 5000 miles. No leaks, no smoke (or soot in the pipe) and no loss of power. My son told me that is common with the Mobil 1 oil. Anybody else experience this?

Hello 40Shares and Welcome to FTE!

I would suggest looking in the Super Duty and the 5.4 engine forums. There is also a Oil and Lubrication forum that can help with your Mobil 1 question

This forum is used for introductions so you will need to visit the other forums to get a response to your question.

Enjoy the site!
