My display is old, but I prefer truxedo for two reasons. I like the spring loaded adjuster, so you get the tension close and it stays tight. Access stitches the cover square and puts it together, Truxedo cuts the corners closer so they lay flatter and look cleaner. It's about the same price, so for the money I would go with truxedo.
I've had an access cover on both my trucks for the last 10 yrs. Had a couple of friends who have had them to. Don't have a truxedo dealer around here anywhere, so this is all I've seen or dealt with. Mine have always fit nice and tight - there are adjusters at the top of the bed and at the tailgate end to adjust how tight/loose you want it to fit, and the velcro on the sides has always stayed nice and tight (for the last 10 years at least!) I'm not saying anything negative about the truxedo (like I said, haven't ever had one.)
I have the Acccess Lite Rider Cover. Cover is the same as the regular Access cover but, it only has 3 clamps iinstead of 4 to clamp (three is plenty on my shortbed.)the frame to the bed rails. the adjusters on the cover work the same but, are not as nice as the regular Access. I talked to a Factory rep up in South Dakota and he said there is really no structural difference between the Lite and regular. I went with the Access lite and love it. I like being able to have my stainless bedrails and a cover at the same time.
I prefer Tonneau Masters (Sport Masters). I've had 3 of their covers on my last 3 trucks. The most recent one is this awesome hinged cover with shocks that acts like both a hard cover and also a tonneau. To access the bed, flip a lever and give a quick lift, the cover goes right up on 2 shocks - just like a hard cover. If you don't need ful access, you can unsnap - just like a traditional tonneau. The whole thing can be removed in under 5 minutes without tools for full bed access (Like when I take my ATV). Check it out: http://www.cargogear.com/Tonneau-Cov...eau_Cover.aspx
I have the Truxcedo LoPro and love it. good color option too. See gallery for pic's. Tight fit, no water, 3 strong cross bars, and it locks closed w/ the tail gate.
Okay, I've narrowed my choice for a roll up tonneau cover down to the Access limited and the Truxedo. I don't mind the look of the standard tonneau so I don't think I want any of the low models.
Tell me quick, the money for one of them is burning a hole in my pocket!
