Stabilizer Bar : Bushings?
It seems the stabilizer bar in the front suspension is grunting at times. I kinda feel it under the front passenger's feet.
It seems I remember it being talked about here, but no search engine.
Are there bushings to be replaced? Or do you replace one or both of the arms (links).
Thanks
Jim
The only issue is that the Main sway bar mounts are EASY to replace..the END LINK bushings are a PAIN.. the problem is getting the old bushings pressed out... I used a 20Ton arbor press and it still took some persuasion to keep from messing up the link.. Once the old bushings are pressed out its a 5 minute job to install the urethane ones and bolt everything back up...
For my truck the kit was energy suspension kit 4.5186G.. thats for a 32MM bar ... The kit came with all bushings and parts to do the install.. well everything except the press.. If you dont have an arbor press youll have to take the links to a machine shop to get the old ones removed..The new parts dont require a press... You MIGHT?? be able to use a ball joint press to get them out as well..just depends on your fixtures..
