Can anyone describe the proper technique to remove and reinstall the door glass in my 53? I have been working on IShorty's power window installation and I am having some issues getting the glass back in. I have the regulator, divider bar and glass panel out, what order do they go back in?

Any hints to help minimize the chance of damaging the glass on reinstall?

My son and I just put a new driver's side window in with no problems. Took about 35 min, tear-down to assembly. Hardest part is removing bottom bar from old window and installing on new glass. Work glass up from bottom of door and hook up regulator. Guide glass into track and roll up. Slide divider bar into position and install bolts. Should do it.

Hi,
I've been in the same situation about ten years ago with my 55. I took it to a glss shop and the guy installed it in about 2 minutes. Roll the window crank up then slide the glass in then up through the window felt, have someone hold it then lower the crank until you can see it through th opening, lower the glass until its lined up with the pens then slide them in. Be careful when lowering the crank while holding the glass up.
Hope this helps
