T 18 inputs
I am considering doing an engine swap in my 79 F250 4x4 it has a T18/ NP205 that is bolted to the tail housing (not divorced, married?) and was wandering since the tranny is good can I just swap out the input shafts for say a small block or an FE and find the right bell housing or do i have to find a small block or FE tranny? I am not sure what i am going to put in the truck but it has a 400 now. If i can't swap out the inputs can i use 2wd trannys and just swap out the tail housing? I have a 428 or a 351C that I just can't decide what i want to put in i'm just leaving it up to fate wich ever one I can find motor mount towers for easier is most likely going to be the one i put in the truck.
