I got my photo gallery started. See what $350 and a empty spot in the garage can get you into! She is ruff but you dont find many rust free vehicles in Indiana. It is down to the frame now and since my Torino took a hard hit in the side I have a good donor.
Thanks for sharing the pics with us. Lookslike quite a fun project. You shure have a nice space for workin. I'm like Rusty, there tends to be an empty frosty beverage container somewhere, and I can't tell youhow many parts I have stored in beer, er...frosty beverage boxes stuffed under the bench
WHERE are the empty FROSTY BEVERAGE cans? Don't see any sittin around anywhere.
lol I am big on bottles so I don't leave them around to get broke when there empty but that little fridge below the TV on the work bench is full of fresh one's just above the freezing point.
arctic y block I bounced around the idea of leaving the flat head in because I do like the look and the sound of them. I just had so much time invested in the old Torino not to mention money under the hood I decided to use the 428. You have no idea how many rice burners that car has chewed up at a couple of local drag strips and I want take this old F1 out to lunch when its done.
Good luck Cobrajet. I have the old flathead apart, but still waiting on engine shop to get the 7HA bored. Story says the end of the week. He has a guy going on vacation right after christmas so maybe he'll get started. I have been telling him Im in no hurry. Today I told him Im anxious. We'll see where he gets. The inside of the engine looks pretty good though.
It does look a bit rough. You have a big job ahead without a doubt. Took me 16 months working 4 to 6 hrs every day to do my 55 to original condition.
Good Luck.
Fred
