Tranny problems
I have my truck together and even though it steers like stuff Itook it for a spin anyhowand it works ok in 1st and 2nd but when I shift into drive it stays in lower gear and if I wind it up to about 50 let up on the throttle the RPM drops but as soon as I step on it, it shifts back down again. This was the same problem with the transmission I just took out, but I figured it was the transmission was bad, one of the reasons I decided to change it over to 4x4 with a different tranny.

I finally hashed out the rest of my problems and by going from extended cab to extended cab. My problems came from putting in the 6" lift kit adding headers, having my throttle position sensor go bad, then the o2 sensor went bad and to top it all off I had to replace the steering column cause my shifting mechanism went bad. Finally got smart enough to buy an engine decoder,replaced my o2 and tp sensor and readjusted my linkage and I have a driveable truck again
