Since its inception, there have been no performance related issues with the HFCM unless a faulty water in fuel sensor is counted.

The dual filter set-up is a great set-up and has been designed by Racor. The dual filter set-up filters well and seperates water well... and also heats the fuel in early 6.0L's.

Would have to be careful about fuel line pressure and adding something that may do so... but check out the link below for possible answers.... they are a Racor distributor and Racor makes the current HFCM filter housing and fuel filters for our 6.0L... so they may be a source to better answer your question???
