brake light problem

Unhappy brake light problem
my brake lights work good except when i turn my headlights on then my left brake light goes dim instead of getting brighter, i have changed bulbs, any ideas

Sounds like a bad ground to me.

Make sure the little tab in the side of the socket is making good contact with the brass part of the bulb. Also make sure the ground wire leaving the socket is bolted to a good ground.
