79 steering damper shock thing ?

My 79 4x truck has the steering damper (shock ?) that stabilizes the tie rod movement, I guess. After sitting 6 years I finally drove it today and very shortly found I could not turn to right lock. Got under the front end and saw yellow fluid pouring out of this damper shock thing. Is this the right name for it and where can I get one ? thanks

They are steering stabalizers they help with bump steer. like if you hit pot holes rocks they help the steering wheel from ripping out of your hand. There not much and easy to replace any auto parts house should be able to get you one, or tire centers usally carrys them too. I got mine from Les Schwab if you live in the northwest. you should be able to get one around or under 30 bucks. get a boots to go on it too it looks better!
