I tried to search, but not allowed.
I just picked up a 94 cab at the junkyard to replace my rusted 83. I tried to remove the rubber mounts from the 94 with no success. From the drawings in the chilton manual, they separate top and bottom, any trick for this ?
Should I just buy new ones.
Thanks,
So, no advise? I may try again by getting a longer bolt, threading it in and hammering down on them. It would probably work better if the rubber diddn't cushion the impact.
Went back to the yard today and used one of the original bolts from the rear cab mounts. I was thinking it wouldn't be long enough, but there is some spacing in the cab, so it was more than long enough, threaded it in, and smacked it a few times with a BFH (good sized hammer), and violla..., or whala...?, each one popped out easily. I felt stupid for not thinking of it when I removed the cab.
CLA4JC, I was trying to save them to use when I install the cab on my 83, but thank you for your input.
