Had some turbo problems. (Turbo fart while going up hill) Dealer replaced EGR and cleaned vanes. Seems ok. While inspecting the mess the tech left under the hood I noticed my coolant level was down 1/2 " below the min line. Truck is 2 1/2 yo and has been relatively trouble free. I am worried about blowing coolant out of the exhaust and the myriad of other head issues I have read about. Any Suggestions.
Did they put the new sticker on the bottle relocating where the min and max lines are. There is a TSB out saying that the lines that are molded into the degas bottle are to high. The actual max line is about a hair below or at the original min line. I would not worry about blowing coolant. Just ask the dealer if they took some out. If they didn't then you may want to ask about it but normally you will see if you were blowing coolant out. It will look like a white crusty spots all over around the bottle.
