I had a Pioneer Avic-Z1 installed in my new 20007 F-250 CC PSD. It is a double din unit and it replaced the factory stereo and fit perfectly. This unit is awesome and is the hottest Navigation/AV unit onthe market in my opinion.
I have the Kenwood DDX8017 Double Din Receiver in my 2005 F250. Hooked up to it is their KNA-G510 Navigation System. A superb combination. Between work, friends, and family I use a number of GPS units and I have found this one to be the best. The KNA-G510 is a relabeled Garmin unit. Very easy to update, just slide in an SD card with the downloaded update (from the Garmin web site).
cancell my last post, GOT BEAT ON EBAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! in the process of fighting... it was one of those prices that was too good to be true, well, it was. after payment was received, no contact for 5 days so far.. got the pioneer avhp6800dvd. 7" screen 6 disc indash dvd player no nav..
I have the same head unit as swengle but I use the KVA-DV4100 navigation unit. It uses DVDs for the maps. It isn't as easy to update as the G510 but I like the maps and use better. I tried the other for a while and got rid of it and went back to the DV4100 unit instead. But they are both great units and worth installing.
I have the same kenwood gps and radio combination as swengle and I love it, no problems with it what so ever. I did have the old Alpine system and it was alright, but not as easy to use or have as detailed coverage as this one, unless they updated that recently, it's been awhile since I have messed with the Alpine system.
