Stupid question...

Just curious, what is that empty hole/ compartment for under the steering wheel? It almost drives me nuts not knowing what it's for.

LED flashlight, lighter and a multi-tool. That's what mine is for anyway. The rest of my truck is in disorder, but I always know where those 3 things are.

I usually keep some fresh paper towels wadded in there too. Stops rattles and cleans my 'stache .

Its just a storage compartment for whatever you want. It can house a compact trailer controller too if you work it out right..

Thanks for the responses guys, I know it's been a few days.

I don't use mine at all, I was curious if I was missing out on something, haha. I had thought it might be for a CB radio or something. When I worked at Home Depot I used to kept my HD/Stanley tape measures in there, then I'd forget it was there and a customer would ask for a tape.

I keep my cellphone in there while im driving makes a good spot to keep it while charging. Then if it rings I can hear it, pull over somewhere and answer it easily.

I use it to keep my sunglasses in. It tilts back so they don't slide out when driving fast!

Anytime I put something in it, I forget I did and go on a rant about gremlins again, The only time I discover the misplacement is when I'm cleaning up around it. It's just one of those inconspicuos places out of eye shot. I'm thinking maybe I should just keep a spare key there if it's safe from me, it's safe from a thief

I use it to temporarily keep my trailer brake controller in, since I dont want to mount the trailer brake controller to my dash.
