I went to the agribition here in Regina today. Ford had two new 2008 superduty's there. A f-350 supercab FX4 with a V10 and a f-450 supercrew king ranch with the 6.4l twin turbo. That f-450 is a big truck and the 6.4l is sure crammed in there. They are very nice trucks, I wonder what they are going to be priced at?
i wouldnt be surprised if those new diesels, for a nicer crewcab, start at something like $60 000. i was playing around with the build and price, a straight cab, long box 4x4 6.0 with a stick and XLT trim was as much as our 2002 Lariat crewcab diesel brandnew. the prices have just kept going up and up it seems.
did the 450 have a box that was more of a regular pickup style or was it a fancy deck of sorts?
Naw, the 6.4 is a diesel...Check it out in the 2008 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel forum. The way Ford/IH is playing around with engines it`s hard to keep track.
They do look sweet and i agree priced outrageously i just dont care for the headlights they will grow on me but the interiors is sure nice similar to the F150 ..
i dunno, our 02 just hit 100 000 and dad doesnt want to go along with my idea of parking it. but if the motor ever goes bad, weve got a brand new cummins with something under like 5000 miles on it sitting in a jimmy just screaming to be put back on the ROAD! so hopefully dont have to worry about buying one of these new diesels for a long long time
i forgot, i had been told that the big truck factories are completely backed up with guys ordering 07's so as too make it a bit further without one of these new emmissions beaten motors

Reason: forgot something
The F-450 had a normal truck box, like you would see on a one-ton dually. The interior was a lot like the f-150's. A more squared off look. The new 6.4l diesel has 350hp and 650 ftlbs of torque. The two turbos are in series, a smaller one to spool up faster at low rpm and a larger one for higher rpm's.

Hey there Pyro, it has been done and successfully too. Ask around on the diesel forum. There's more than a few guys out there that would like to put a Cummins in there Ford. I read about one the other day with a twin sequential turbo set up that puts out 945 ponnies! It was in Dieselpower magazine. Look it up online if you want to check it out.
