well i always look at several things while i am trying to tow a vechile. First how long has it been sitting? that could be an issue if the wheel bearings are shot and could come apart while towing. If it has ben sitting i would get a truck hauler to avoid the risk. but if you feel the bearings are ok then i would just grab a tow dolley and get it done that way. Hope this helps you. jax

If it has been modified with an automatic tranny, I would take the driveshaft out. I have heard you can ruin an automatic if the output shaft turns with no oil pressure inside the tranny.

I have an 51F1, and towed it quite a bit to various shops as I put it together. I rented a towbar, which hooks by chains the the left and right frame "horns" as they meet the bumper and to your tow vehicles' ball hitch. Count on scratching up your front truck bumper, but it went just fine. It your truck has auto trans, follow the mfr's advice on towing, or unhook the ubolts at the back axle, and tie the shaft so it won't drag. (mark the shaft and the axle portion of the universal joint, so you join them as they were, affects balance, sometimes). A dolly works better, but is more expensive.
