surging and erratic speedo
I have a 95 f350 cc 4x4 powerstroke that still surges and the speedo bounces back and forth about 5 mph.it does it really bad once the tc locks.I have replaced the gpr,had all the glow plugs and injectors tested and just replaced the fuel pump.The vss ford sold me will not pick up my speed from the rear axle and the one the auto parts stores try to sell me apparently goes in the tranny of some year models.I cleaned my vss off and reinstalled it.I have replaced the carrier in the rear and went to lower gears but i recall it was doing the same thing before all of that.It also does that womp womp womp thing in the mornings and after sitting a little while.could it be the cps or maybe something in the tranny.my tranny also seems to be moody sometimes and shifts how it wants, when it wants.This is very nerverackin'.

do you have your old vss(original one) laying around? there is two kinds of vss and ford always tries to sell obs owners the wrong one. go to ford and take your old one and get the same kind.
your truck is just cold. either that or you have a bent push rod or broken rocker arm. but if it was it would do the womp womp all the time. my truck does that to until it warms up. its a diesel thing..
