Just a quick question

I've owned my 1960 Ford F-100 for about a year now, and I've always wondered something. How do you lock the door from the inside so when you close the door it stays locked? I have the original owner's manual and everything, but not a word is said about the door locks in the manual. I know you push the door latch handle forward to lock the doors, but when you close the door it unlocks. I've just been locking it with the key from the outside when I park the truck (just started getting used to it). Is there a way to lock the door without using the key?

Just a quick question

I bet the way you are doing it is the only way. That's the way my 65 mustang works. You have to lock it from the outside. I personally think it's not a bad idea. You definitely won't have to worry about locking your keys in the car anymore.
