my truck cranks a long time before she fires up first thing in the morning. once started she runs great + restarts like a champ. so far i've poured injector cleaner into fuel, replaced fuel filter, + replaced fuel pump in the front fuel tank (but not the back fuel tank). i really suspect i'll have to replace the rear fuel pump but before i do does this truck have any common problems i could check easily? 1996 f-250 460 c.i. dual fuel tanks. thanks.
I would first check the fuel pressure during the cold starts. It could be bleeding off and taking awhile to reprime. The check valve in the rear pump could be bad.
bad check valve is what i'm suspecting too. where is the easiest place to check my fuel pressure? i don't see one of those schraeder type valves on my fuel rail.
