My 2006 Escape XLT just started a very undesirable Indication on the DASH....ABS light on constantly when vehicle is running AND the 4WD light comes on about every three or four minutes and flashes 5 or 6 times.....
I'm sure this is NOT a GOOD thing!!!!
I tried two different times disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes plus.....Still same indication on the dash....
ANY IDEAS....is anything wrong???? How do I get the warning lights OFF????
Vehicle seems fine.....of course its hard to tell with the electronic AWD.
I live 140 miles from the nearest FORD dealer....should I be seeking FORD Help or?????
Without the codes it would be hard to say. But in other Fords it is most common that a wheel sensor is bad and will give you an ABS light. With the Escapes power train configuration it could very well give you a 4x4 light to indicate the failure.
I've got the exact same problem as Ggadwa with my 2005 Escape. Has anyone come up with a difinitive diagnosis and /or solution? Any help is appreciated!
