Ok...Im a little ticked....
Thought since I had the day off I would try balancing my flywheel the way the TSB shows by adding washers to the flywheel bolts. Well, I did one corner no difference..then on the next bolt I tried the POS bolt I was using snapped off. I think it was a cheapo soft bolt cause I did'nt put much to it. So I put a drill bit in my angle die grinder drill it and try to easy out it with no luck...finally broke a easyout off in it so now %@$$#^$&! What to do next?? Will I be ok missing one of the eight bolts?? My last resort idea is tack welding it???........any suggestions?
pull the flywheel off and grab it with some pliers if it is protuding still. if not drill/easy out. i know it sucks but i dont think i would risk the 7.
if you need i think i still have my oem bolts laying around somewhere.
Well I tried all day long to get the broken bolt out. No luck. Finally decided to weld the pressure plate and flywheel right below where the bolt is. I hope to have biger injectors soon and then a better clutch will be needed also so........
Just put about a inch long weld along the edge of the pressure plate and flywheel. When I go to change the clutch I'll just grind the weld off to get the two pieces apart. Hope this wont affect anything, dont know what or how....
