Tuner Reliability Poll

Been looking to make some upgrades and was wondering your experiences with them? Looking for reasonable use and miles logged with it. Also if you believe it was responsible for any problems (head gasket, transmission).

Bully Dog triple dog. It's ok. Could use a stronger trans tune.
Nothing broken, about 15K and I beat the crap out of it. The only problem is trans slip when the TQ converter locks up. And 2-3 shifts can be really sloppy.

Did try the temp 3 day download (70hp) unbelievable! Only problem when getting onto highway, pedal down, truck just stopped going. This was 1 week after I got it. I was nervous, I think it was just overboost though 1st diesel not sure. Shifted into n then back into d and was ok. What a relief!!

My SCT tow program (program #2 out of 3) nearly cost me an engine when the temp gauge pegged on "H" while climbing a hill in Montana. Thankfully, I was able to reload stock program and haven't had a problem since, that was 55k miles and two years ago. It was a Rocky Mountain diesel tune as I recall. No slam on the product, just a mistake on my part since I have always been satisfied with the stock tow program.

Been running the Banks 6 Gun bundle w/PDA for about a year and a half now and not one problem. Shifts great, power is great.

Thjat was when they were a part of Super Chjips. Now on their own and fully focused on programming/tuning . . .

SCT xcal 2 with custome tune from I.D., I run truck on xtreme street all the time, runs great, I have econo and street also. Truck and trans doesn't like street at all, but Eric's been trying to figure it out. Shifts like clutches are slipping 2nd and 3rd and then slams into gear.

1704 SCMT on my 03 for 35,000 trouble free miles. Towed with it, drove empty with it, never once had a problem, and I still had 4 C94 injectors in it at the time I put it on.

1704 SCMT on my 05 for 25,000 trouble free miles. On my 05 I DO NOT TOW using my tuner. I only use it in HP mode when I am empty.
