Ladder bars / 4 Links
I'm trying to get some ideas lined out for my 63 F100 build. I'm going to build it to do a little straight track duty as well as normal driving. I was wondering how many have used a ladder bar or 4 link setup on their trucks. If so, what pro's or con's do you see in this type of setup?
Thanks -- Tony
I'm gathering parts (still) for my 63 F100 build, (521", C6 2800 stall, 3.50:1 Strange nodular, 35 spline detroit locker, dropped front straight axle, disc brakes, etc.) I'm going to run CalTracs on the rear for my traction issues. They work well and still allow for some normal driveability. I already have a lot of the parts, but still have a ways to go.
Someone else will be along soon with their opinion/experience.
Welcome to the best Ford Truck website on the planet.
I looked at the CalTracs....dang they're proud of them. Than again, you get what you pay for. I've heard nothing but good about them.
I have an old drag racer aquaintance that used to run a F100. I've heard he has one heck of a setup for "traction bars" that he used to use with great success. I'm going to try to make contact with him Monday and talk with him about them.
Any pics from anyone on these would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks -- Tony
