I have a 53 F100 . I added a AOD auto the the 289 and I can't figure out how to connect the 75 LTD colum shift linkage.. The floor brake pedals seem to be in the way.. All the magazines I see don't show the colum shift likage.. Help I'm lost and confused... A photo and a conversation with some one that was made the conversion would help.
What about a cable set up from a later car? Then you could get around the floor pedals. You might have to fabricate a couple of brackets. Also, look in some of the magazines and call the vendors that advertise speed parts. They might even have a kit.
Speaking of cable column shifting, I saw an advertisement in Street Scene where some company (sorry, I can't remember the name) was making an aftermarket cable shift that you can attach to your column for less than a hundred bucks. Perhaps you could consider checking this out or maybe someone will remember who manufactured it...
