cfm's ?????

how many cfm does the factory fan on a 2001 f150 produce, i know that it is a range. at operating temp from idle to higway rpm. idle being around 600rpm and higway around 2000rpm. up to say 4000 rpm at 100kph, ie towing. engine running at temp, around 180 or so, max cooling from the clutch (viscous) fan?

just wondering. i want to put an electric fan on. but the flex a lite kit that i would like is to much$. plus there is no way that a 5.4l needs over 5000cfm of cooling air. i'm hopeing that a single 16" fan at about 3000cfm placed in the shroud hole will do the trick. the factory fan is fine, and at slow four wheeling speeds it cant be moving alot of air, or at idle in traffic.

I have the electric dual fan kit and like it a lot. What you will run into depends on how much idling and slow speed driving you do when off-road. I notice that the fans keep everything cool but your AC performance suffers at slow speeds when it's warm.

A 16" fan will keep the engine cool enough but the stock fan works very well at low rpms.
