My 56 big window project is well under way.....I bought it 2 weeks ago and today I just lifted the stripped cab off of the frame and onto my roll-around. Anyhoo....I have a frame measurement question: It appears that a previous owner had cut some length off of the rear of the frame rails. There is a factory rivit on top of the frame which holds the last crossmember in.....what is the dimension from the center of that rivet to the end of the frame rails ????
The top of the frame rails in front of the rear axle kick up and the top of the frame rail after the rear axle kick up - are they on the same plane? That is - if the frame were perfectly level front to back, would the measurement from the ground to the top of the frame rail be the same in front of and aft of the rear kick up?
It's a long (dull) story why I can't measure my own to answer this question.
Yeah. Same plane. I laid a 6-foot straightedge next to the top of the frame rail and the frame in front of and behind the kickup are in a plane. Measurements from the ground don't work because of the rake mine sits at.
