1964 f100 292 engine

1964 f100 292 engine
i was wondering if this is a good enigne to keep int the truck i do want rebuild but i also have a 351m i could put in it . i have heard that the 292 is a very fun engine. im thinking about boring it out a little putting a heavy cam and changing to a four barrel intake. i want a truck that will trow you back in your seat but dont care about top speed. are parts readily available for a 292?

articyblock will have the most info for you since he loves that engine series. Parts are available but not as cheap as later engines.

The 292 hasn't been installed since 64, the M since early 80s. There are a lot of options out there. Good luck on choosing the right one.
