I screwed up tonight and sprayed water in the engine compartment trying to clean it up. Started the truck and it's running rough like a coil has gone out or something.
The power steering is out too and the truck is nearly impossible to turn.
After driving it for a bit to try to "dry it out" the check engine light began flashing. I got it home and parked it.
Any ideas on what could be wrong?
I'll check the fuses in the morning, but I wonder if some sensor didn't go out causing the steering to be difficult.
Well............... you have gotten water down the spark plug wells for the miss.
As far as the power steering, it's hard to figure if the water has done anything but made the belt slip or something unusual has happened.
You have to remove all the plug hardware and dry it all out.
Do not wash the__engine down unless your sure the plug boots are sealed around the tops and the coils are in good condition, then use only a low pressure stream and some cleaner like Simple Green.
Then hope you don't still have a problem afterwards.
Sorry I have to use tricks to keep the board from dropping words.

I've wondered what could stop the power steering, unless there's a speed sensor somewhere that affects it. You know how the steering gets tighter at speed, I wonder if I didn't fry that.
