Have you returned the truck to stock and tried to start it? Have you run a code scan with the tuner yet? Tuner new or used? If used what is the build date/version #?
Yes it is POSSIBLE that the PCM is fried but most likely if anything there was corupted data transfered into the PCM during the tune. Did you have ANY battery draw while tuning? Interior lights, cell phone charger, use the cig lighter, etc etc. If so it is possible that there was sufficient voltage drop to cause and error with the programING, not necesarily the programER.
Try the things and let me know what you come up with.
it was used nothing was on tried to scan fortrouble codes none found truck does crank but no wait to start light and it won't let me put back stock program tells me i turned the car on
Check you fuses under the dash specifically the ones for PCM control check your manual there are 3 but i cant remember the numbers (15, 18, 30 i think)
fuses are good even checked under the hood i wish i never would of even gotten a used programmer i got a dead truck got fired yesterday for not being able to go to work and now ruined thanksgiving for the family
what should i do now don,t know of any diesel shops around here i guess the only good thing is i don,t have to go to work anymore now i just have to listen to a b@@ching woman about ruining thanksgiving
Have you tried disconnecting the batteries for at least an hour and turning on lights, pushing brake pedal etc to totally drain residual voltage. Then try again? It's worth a shot.
