I have a 93 F-150 4x4 5spd (mazda trans). The only problem I have with the trans is when shifting from 2nd to 3rd i have a slight grind. I have bleed the slave twice thinking I might have a little air in the system, but that didn't help any. The slave was replaced about 8-10 months ago. The mater cyl is the orginal. Can the master be bad and so no outwards sign's of leaking? I think I am going to replace it anyways just to make sure. But has anyone else had any of the same problems with thier tranny?
I have an 88 f-250 doing the samething. Pausing briefly during shift from 2nd to 3rd really helps.
you know i started trying to do that (if i remember to) and it does help. I want to believe that the clutch isnt fully engaugeing. Because sometimes when i pull into a parking stall or come to a stop light with the clutch engauged it acts likes it lurching a little and i will have to through it out of gear. I am going to try and replace the clutch mc this weekend so i will see if that helps a little. But my luck it will be the clutch itsself. Because its winter time and its cold and the car Gods want me to have to drop the tranny in the snow because the truck is to tall to fit in garage.LOL.
