No it's not a code, it's a question, WHY?, I did the UJ's on my 91 and they were pretty easy, then my 95 one had a CV joint go dry, so I got the one from my 93 parts ven and it has a UJ and a CV, luckily the outer CV's were the same, had it been an inner I would be looking for another donor. Changing was a pain as I had to undo the inner, disassemble the CV and then slide the shaft back, undo the top hub bolt and move the hub out of the way to get the shaft out, fitting was easier as I put the outer CV into the hub, fitted the shaft and inner CV together and as I slid it into place I made sure I slid the boot on and the splines went into the outer CV, then all I had to do was push the hub home making sure the circlip locked in place. Not to bad of a job, but only because I had a spare CV, boot and I only replaced the upper ball joints last year making it easy to undo. While I was there I changed the pads as it's only a 5 min job. So hopefully the winter will be uneventful.

CV-CV is quieter and smoother than other options for drive axles but more expensive.....Ford had to try the cheap route first
