Installing flexplate
I am going to transplant a flexplate from my old 88 efi 460 to my rebuilt efi 460 long block. I know there is a weight on these flexplates. Is there any particular way to mount the flex plate. Another question can you bolt the torque converter up wrong or is the bolt pattern just one way?

The flexplate to crank holes a offset so you can only install it one way. The bad part is that they are installed on the crank along with the harmoic dampener during the balancing process. Check with the shop that rebuild the long block to see what they did with the one that was on there.
