I think the early 80's bronco would look best as a low rider. Maybe even easier to do if you start with an F-150 2wd frame and mount the bronco on the 1/2 tons frame after a little lenght was removed. At least that way you could get all the mechanicals right before putting the body on the frame. Another plus is you could use the newer mustang manual trans and and have a six speed behind a mass air 351W, or go the 4BBL 460 with a similar trans for a car.
The only dropped bronco I liked was when somyone built a lighting bronco.
He wrecked his 95 lightning and took a 92-96 bronco and put all of the drivetrain and tires on the bronco, that thing looked nice.
My Bronco know has a 5.0L,E4OD trans and is the stock XLT package! no power windows or locks, full bench seat with full rear seat of course! has 33's with stock ride!!
I would like too see this become my daily driver in the summer time! I'm leaning towards 3.55's in the rear! That should be good for driveing around here!
this isnt russia, but...i WOULD consider slamming it - if it was named SHETLAND...but we're talking about a BRONCO here...its a friggin' offroad icon...thats like painting mount rushmore - JUST BECAUSE ITD BE CUTE.
(teasing - but seriously - really - c'mon - start with a chevy - and then i wont care!!)
The more people destroy these beauties of the past... the more valuable mine becomes. I remember when I use to turn VW bugs into Mud Buggies. Now look what a unchopped VW bug is worth.
I'm going to agree with it's a beauty! but in the END! It's in the eye of the beholder! keep'm! come'm! Good or Bad!! Oh I think Herbie says beep beep!! LOL!
I remember seeing that lightning bronco on here and it was pretty cool! I'm more of a 4x4 guy myself though.
Me too but that one looked nice mainly cause it looked like something the factory put out.
An old body man told me the best jobs are done when people ask what was done to it.
