BII Swaying problem

Ive have an 89 BII. Manual trans., 2 in. lift, 31's, 4x4, 2.9 liter v6, (planning on 2 in. more lift). When driving down the road it feels very skiddish, when i turn or swirve to miss something it over exaggerates and sways or jerks around pretty bad. I mostly use my BII for offroading and getting to school, but for those occasional highway trips i would like it to be safe. I put new shocks on the front thinking this may be part of the problem, but it didn't seem to do much. If any of ya'll have advice on what to do please let me know! Thanks J.B.

Front Steering Stabilizer...it either needs one or needs a new one..Put a heavy duty one on or replace it with one.

With 2 inches existing lift and two more in the works, oh ya, go with the heavy stabilizer.
Also, put new shocks on the rear as well. If they are as beat as the fronts were, then it's no surprise that the new fronts didn't make much difference.

on my 89 bii i put a 2" lift in the bake a replaced the shocks. well i had a real big problem when driving. it seemed like i was about to loss control of it when i hit bumps and put holes in the road or freeway. one day my buddy was behind me and i noticed if i hit my breaks several times the back end would buck. i thought it was funny *** s??t but i found out then what the problem was with may handling. when i put the new shocks on they came with them real nice red boots. well i didnt want the boots at the top where no one would ever see them so i put them on the bottom. well then i had my shocks upside down and they was not workn right, which was causing me to be all over the road. i fixed the problem and that was the best handle i ever seen in it

You might need an alignment after the lift and with the bigger tires.
