Good Morning Everyone. I have a stupid question that i should know how to do but here goes, how hard is it to replace the slave cylinder on a '99 F250 6 speed. And where is a good place to get one? NAPA? Dealer? Is it a real PTA or not bad? Any tricks i should know about??? Any info would be helpful.
A pre-bled ford oem slave/master cylinder set-up from a vendor on this site or youre local dealer will do the job. Part# 2C3Z*7C522*C. $154.00. It takes 15 min to put this thing on and is well worth every penny to get this set-up.
Thanks guys, the problem is if your sitting at a stop light with the clutch pressed down; it is fine for a few seconds but then you can feel it starting to lug the motor. If you have ever tried to pull a truck out of gear while the clutch out, well you get my point... I am thinking that is the problem anyway...

How do you do it? Any advice?
I'm about to get started!
I have a question about the slave... do you clip the plastic retainer, or does it automatically break upon install? or do i just push the pedal and break it after installation? if you know... please call me at 555-867-5309 (i'll delete this after help... my garage is a block away from my apt...)
I ALREADY GOT IT IN,,, everythings working... nevermind~!
I just bought this kit from the dealer. Is it supposed to come with a master cylinder pushrod? If not, how are yall getting the old rod of the old cylinder to reuse?
no pushrod. mine came out on it's own. There was a snap ring holding it in that broke. I had 100k, so i replaced the whole system. The new one is a different design inside. a tube with two cutouts that pinch in, so when the rod goes back in, they snap behind the depression at the end of the rod.
If you yank on the clutch hard enough, it'll pop out.
