'94 Highbeams won't function

Have a '94 F150 4.9L

If I flip the multifunction switch forward with the headlights on, the highbeam indicator on the dash illuminates, my lowbeams cut out(as they should) but the highbeams don't go on.
If I just use the flash-to-pass, again the dash highbeam indicator works, but my brights don't.

I've checked all possible fuses and they all were OK. I don't think it is the multifunction switch because the dash highbeam indicator still works?...

Any ideas?

Could be...I just thought it was strange that both went out at once.
Is there any way I can use a multimeter to check that?

look at bulbs first for a burned filament.

Burnt bulbs it is.

I was just confused by the fact that they both went out at the same time. Could that be a sign of a fault somewhere else?

Anyways, I went all out and bought some Sylvaina Sliver Star bulbs...I'll let you guys know if it was worth it...though my foggy lenses probably won't do them much justice.

Yes, the silverstars are good.
Definitely brighter and whiter. They also seem to spread more of an even flood of light.
Worth 40$ ? They're nice, but we'll see how long they last.
