Can anyone tell me about MAA8556701C - Mallory HEI Distributor With Coil "85 Series" Drop In Replacement - 1966-1992 Ford 351C/M, 429-460 ? Are they any good? I bought one for 175$.

Ours are more expensive, but that's because we custom calibrate the advance curve on a distributor machine based on your cam, compression ratio, type of gas you run, weight of your truck, etc.

Ours are made in the USA!

I don't use Mallory anymore. Too many problems with the Unilite series. Accel is so so. A proper ignition curve should be high on the list.

Performance Distributors can calibrate it for with/without EGR also which makes a difference.

Well yes I am happy with my performance dist, but then again mine is a race only engine and I need to have a performance unit, and I run locked out timing so timing curves are of no interest to me.
