Driver's License Anniversary
There was a Blizzard that day, and 3 ft of snow must have fallen in a just a few hours. I was driving the 52 Austin and the Signal Light arms were stuck inside their pods it was so cold.
After driving my older sister to University, I headed Directly for Peter's Drive-in (it is famous for having the best hamburger's In Canada for 30 Years running).
Negotiating Calgary's roads with Grader's Piling the snow up in 3 ft swaths was a lot of fun.
A few hours later I picked my Sister up and drove home.
If My Calculations are correct, I have driven just over 2,000,000 Miles with a few left in me.
My, How time flies!

Only ONE stuck.
That would be in 1967 when I got a speeding ticket on my
90cc Motorcycle(or what that a motorbike back then?)
I was caught doing 39 MPH and increasing in a 30 mph zone in an Industrial area of the city.
The other two were thrown out due to lack of brains by the issuing officer.
One(1988) for supposed un-signalled lanes changes, which wasn't true.I was driving the mustang on a rainy night. The cop assumed I didn't use the signal because he couldn't see them.He was on a Harley,he is weaing glasses,on a rainy night with Tons of glare from street lights on 6 ave downtown.
The other was on May 1st 1999 when I pulled out onto a main road with No signage saying I couldn't,Plus, the fact I used to live very close to that spot years earlier. he said I crossed a yeelow double soild line. After suggesting to him to look real close and he will see that one of those lines has disappeared,he still wrote me the ticket.
My comment to him " I'll see you in court,By the way, do you always drive with some food or drink in your hand like you were while you were fumbling around trying to hit the rotor-rays"?
On the court day ,After talking with the prosecutor,he threw out the charges. He then told the cop to be a lot smarter next time and don't waste the court's time.

One note, I always thought the milk shakes were the best at Peter's drive in.
