Fuel line question
Inserting a 5.8 L from a 91 F250 into a 96 F250. (The easy and completed part of the project was converting the 96 from 2x4 to 4x4, but that story is for another day)
The 96 came without engine or tranny (was 5.8L w/ E4OD), and a cut fuel and return line. The cut was close to where the lines connect to the fuel rail.
Question:
Is there a difference between the fuel rails from 91 to 96 (the fuel lines appear different).
What is the metal housing thingy (pressure regulator?) in the fuel (or return, can't remember) line of the 96?
The fuel filer end of the fuel line appears different between the 91 and 96. Will a new (un-cut) 96 fuel line connect to the fuel rail from the 91? If not, can I get the 91 fuel line to connect to the 96 filer? Or can I splice the two lines together?
Thanks for any thoughts or ideas...
