Grille Compatablilty

Hello, got a quick question. I just bought a new '06 F150 and was wondering if the grille out of an '04 would fit with no modification? Mine's an XL with the all plastic grille and I'd like to put one of the XL grilles out of an 04 that has the chrome ring around it.

Yes. No modification. You can just change the surround, or swap out the entire grille.

Are you positive? Because If I order a new one from a dealership, they can't take it back and I'd be stuck with it.

There is no difference from MY04 to the trucks currently being produced.

It will fit as long as the '04 is not a heritage model (early '04). The ones from the second half of '04 to now are the same
