I bought the ford enhanced package about two months ago and love it. I did alot of research before i bought something for diagnostics and everyone that had ae said they were pleased with it. I do use a lap top. I don't know if win95 will support it. I got mine from itp diesel was where i found it the cheapest. http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?crn=135
Total ford bundle is 341.00.
Ron - You can get the serial version that will allow for up to 100' of cable or he has a new RF version (Not Bluetooth) coming out the will allow connection up to 500' I believe. You will want at least Win98 sp2 for the usb2 support but you will get much better performance out of 2000 or XP
He's got it on his site now, Its not a common A,B, or G flavor it is a 900mhz radio and retails for 695.00. It is set up so in a big shop you can put AE on one computer in the office and just take the ODB connector to each vehicle
Odered mine over weekend. I drive around with a laptop using GPS navigation. Just need to hook in the AE and I'll have one more toy to try to kill me while I attempt to drive.
$341 sounds about right. I have seen the base system for sale on EvilBay for very cheap but when I emailed for the cost of the enhanced ford bundle it ended up about the same??? Go figure, this from AE themselves. Check it out for yourself.

thanks alot alan..i have XP in the house..maybe i can find a used lap top or desk top.have it cleaned out put it in my garage and use for the truck only....
So what limitations does this have, compared to the dealers computer? I didnt realize you could buy a unit like this for that low of a price, that does as much as it says..... I saw were it said it can do GMs, motor, tranny, and body control module, but in fords it does P, U, B, and C. Which maybe is fords way of describing the same? What im getting at is would this unit be able to read ALL the codes a 2002 powerstroke can produce? or will there still be dealership only codes?
I have only had mine for a couple of months and am still learning all it has to offer. Here is a link to itp diesel that tells about ae and powerstrokes http://www.itpdiesel.com/store.php?diags=1At that web site there is also a forum section that has a forum about ae. You can ask Dennis questions and he is usually right on top of them no matter what time of the day it is. Some of the best customer service i have ever seen, the reason i choose to buy from him cause he answered all my questions before i bought anything from him, and also he has the cheapest price.
