I'm looking at putting a front reciever hitch on the Harley (truck that is! ). Who has done one? Do I have to remove or move the stock fogs? What brands? Any help is greatly appreciated!!...Brian
I had a Hidden Hitch installed at the dealership, works great but you do lose the factory fogs. In addition you have to buy a front license plate holder because the factory mount for that goes too.
Net price?
Hidden hitch $350+install time
Bush Bar (to mount new fogs on) $650+install
Piaa fogs $275+install
License plate mount $70
if you've got a few tools and about two hours the install on all of this is easy.
Works out to be a pretty expensive hitch accessory but for some (like me) it's worth it.
The front hitch is the best thing since sliced bread... As Kootenay mentioned, it does displace the driving/fog lights and you will need to get a hitch mounted license plate bracket (if your State requires) which I paid about $35. Also, from what I was able to determine, several of the front mount hitches are made by the same manufacturer which then simply have a sticker (drawtite, reese, etc) slapped on it. I paid $200 for a "drawtite" and took an hour+ to install which includes removing the bumper. Good luckl
And welcome Kootenay to the FTE Please post some photos of your frontend... It sounds great
The fog lights have to come out with most of them. I know mine did with the draw-tite.
The bodiak hitch bolts to your tow hooks and let's you keep the fog lights there, but I believe it blocks them while it's attached. Kinda defeats the purpose.
i like the setup, i am ordering some of thos connectors, to hook my winch and some jumper cable up, to both front and back of my 2 trucks...the multi-mount winches are the best. i will have to install a front tow package on the f350, i am glad it only take a cuple hours
Sweet lookin truck BFR250SD, too bad ya sold it huh. What kidna prerunner bar is that? do you have to remove the upper lights to mount the winch? It looks in photo two like the uppers are removed and the lowers are farther apart.

It's a WAAG FrontRunner. Yes, I had to cut out the middle bar to fit the winch. The other option was to jsut use one of those receiver extenders, but I wasn't sure how it would hold up under a side load on the winch.
The light mounts are clamp on, so you can put them any place you want. I just moved 2 of them out, lowered 2, and put 2 smaller ones under the winch.
