7.3L MPG+ needed

Hi all. Well, here goes my first post.... Do any of you guys with the 7.3L diesel/non-turbo want to share some real world MPG and opinions? I'm running a Chevy 6.2L p/u now(urgg) and am considering a 7.3L F-250 and a 5.8L F-150.
In general I prefer to go with diesel but I don't have first hand experience with the 7.3L.

Thanks....I'd like to get back to a Ford; Chevy always needs attention I don't care to give.

Andy

Now i know this isnt the place to say this, but theres nothing wrong with a chevy 6.2. They were good motors on fuel, and the 7.3 would get worse mileage. But then youd have to drive a chevy right

stock my 7.3 trucks with 5 speed trans would regularly get 20+ mpg on the open road. after the turbo's were put on, they went up to 24-25 on the road, but down to 10-11 in town, cause nobody could keep their foot out of the throttle.

the 88 gets around 10 mpg, but it weighs 9,000 lbs, and usually is pulling an 6-8,000 lb load.
