You have put an earlier engine in place or you are converting what you have correct?

Here's a schematic to put a duraspark II in an older vehicle. You will need a duraspark II distributor for a 300 6cyl, a duraspark II ignition box with a blue plastic piece where the wires go in, a starter relay with two small terminals, and have to do a little bit of wiring.

What I would do is go to the junkyard and get what you need out of a truck there. You can use any duraspark box out of any late 70's early 80's Ford/Mercury car or truck. But you will need a distributor out of a 300 6, and I would also get the factory wiring that goes from the dist, to a plug, and then to the ignition box.
