engine shutting down.
Hi, A guy i know has been having a problem lately with his 6.0L F-350 4X4 dumptruck (not sure what year it is). It keeps on shutting down about every 2 miles then he has to wait a little while to get it to start up again and then he'll go about 2 miles again and it'll shut down again and the cycle goes on. Anybody have any ideas what the problem could be? The air and fuel filter have been changed but hasnt solved the problem. Thanks

If it's got a hydraulic pump mounted under the hood, make sure that it's not rubbing against the wiring at the ICP sensor. Seems lately alot of body builders are putting the hydraulic lines too close to the sesnor. Unless ofcourse it's using a transmission mounted PTO, then this doesn't apply. Other than that, there's a million other things that can be causing it. Best to take it in to be looked at.
