Unhappy Rear Brakes Locking Up

Anticipating winter, I just put the 8' Fisher plow back on my 89 F350. Problem is the rear brakes are locking up under relatively light braking. I understand the physics of the plow weight increasing the load on the front wheels and possibly decreasing the load on the back, but this never happened before. Something has changed. The truck has the 460 engine, standard transmission, front disk, rear abs drum and gets very little use. Is there some sort of proportioning valve that may have gone bad? Thanks.

Look for an axle seal leak (unlikely on the full float) or wheel cyl leak coating the shoes with fluid.

I would suspect a prop valve as well, there has to be one. However, the truck is 17 years old and has a heavy engine in it. I would also suspect that the front springs have settled some and is placing even less weight on the rear tires with the plow on. Another thing to check is if your calipers are moving freely on the front. If your calipers are stickey the master cylinder maybe appling extra force to the drums. Then also check your pads, if they are glazed or the rotors are slick or warn, your brakes may be trying to stop, but only the rears are working at full effiency.
