Electric Fuel Pump

As stated before I got the 58 runnin pretty good. But now I'm loking into putting on an electric fuel pump. The truck has a 223 and a holley one barrel. What psi do I need to run and does anyone know what type of pump I should get for it and where to get it. Also I need to know where I can get a blocking plate for the old hole when I put on the electric pump. Thanks again yall...jax

Electric Fuel Pump

On my '62 w/a 223 I use an electric fuel pump from AutoZone. I also found a block off plate for the stock pump there. The pump is a generic, and produces around 2/3psi and it seems to keep the 223 running good. Drives great too... I would suggest getting an inertia switch out of a modern car with f/i that will shut the pump off in an accident.

Electric Fuel Pump

Make sure you mount the electric fuel pump as close to the gas tank as possible. Check with the part store to find out how much pressure your stock pump puts out, 2 or 3 psi just doesn't sound like enough pressure.
